Nighthawk Editing has been responsible for preparing more than 300 books for publication. This work includes editing, inputting, proofreading, DTP, proof checking, quality control, and project management … virtually everything to do with publishing. We also do research and fact checking. So far we have digitally produced 15 four-colour maps for the Ontario government. We’ve completed more than 500 projects for the federal government. We’ve edited thousands of papers for science and engineering journals as well.
Our clients are mainly provincial and federal governments (and through the latter, some international organizations: United Nations and its agencies, NASA, etc.) We’ve recently started doing work for the World Bank (seven projects so far). Other clients are from the private sector.
The principal Nighthawk has been editing for almost 30 years and has received awards from the Editors’ Association of Canada and the Canadian Booksellers Association.
We are a small but efficient company … we handle a prodigious amount of work every year.
